Happened to watch this movie over the weekend…I am a big fan of farhan akhtar…I like the kind of cinema that he makes…Authentic…realistic…I think he has understood the taste of multiplex audiences really well…
Luck by chance is an insider look at the Hindi film industry. It depicts the life of two struggling actors Farhan and Konkana who would do anything to make it big in this bad world. There have been films made with bollywood as the back drop before like OSO…but this one surely takes the cake. Great performances from farhan, Konkana and Rishi kapoor. In fact everybody in the film has done a great job. There are a couple of scenes in the film which stood out for me. There is one scene between Hrithik and Karan Johar…where kjo is explaining how films like deewar, darr, baazigar where once offered to established actors who did not do it and some new comer, struggling actor did it and became a star overnight…and there is one towards the end between shahrukh (playing himself) and farhan …where shahrukh is explaining farhan how to handle stardom, fame..To top it up some great music by shankar, ehsaan, loy...Kudos to the team for coming up with lovely tracks…
The film has a very strong message that success and failure is a matter of choice and not chance. There is no concept of luck. Even if you want to get lucky you need to make a choice. Go watch this film…If you haven’t already…Strongly recommended…
